KSOU Undergraduate Admission 2026-27

Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) offers several undergraduate programmes across several disciplines like humanities, science, commerce and, management in distance mode. KSOU admission will begin soon for the 2026 academic year. Students can apply for any UG programme through their official portal. Programs offered by KSOU are B.A, B.Com., BBA, B.Sc, BCA and many more. To be qualified for KSOU’s UG programs, candidates must complete their senior secondary education from a certified board.

It is also required to secure at least 45% to 50% aggregate marks in a relevant stream at the 10+2 level. Students can seek direct admission at the UG level, without qualifying any entrance exam. The university takes admission on the basis of the merit score of the last qualifying examination. The UG programmes fee ranges from INR 9,240 to INR 26,275 per year. 

• BBA Admission 2026: KSOU (Karnataka State Open University) offers a 3-year Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) programme in distance mode. To be eligible for admission in the BBA programme, candidates need to pass their senior secondary education examination (10+2) from a recognized board in any stream to apply for this programme. Candidates can take direct admission in KSOU’s BBA programme without appearing in the entrance exam. Fee of the BBA course at Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) is ranging between INR 13,090 to INR 13,640 per year. 

KSOU Postgraduate Admission 2026-27

The KSOU admission registration process will start soon for the 2026 academic session. Karnataka State Open University (KSOU) offers various postgraduate programs, including MA in Hindi, Urdu, Kannada, History, M.Com, MBA, M.Sc in Biotechnology, Computer Science, Data Science, Geography, M.Lib.I.Sc, MCA, etc. Candidates can seek direct admission to KSOU’s PG programme, but for the MBA programme, the university may require candidates to pass the Knowledge Assessment Test. 

The basic qualification required by KSOU is to hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline from an approved university. The KSOU admission process will start soon for the new academic session 2026, which is done through their website. Candidates are required to visit their admission portal and fill out the application form. Candidates are required to create an ABC and DEB ID before applying for any programme at KSOU.

Karnataka State Open University Placement Cell 

KSOU (Karnataka State Open University) started its placement cell on 29th June 2019. The aim of starting the placement cell is to provide  employment opportunities to their graduates as well as alumni at all levels. This cell conducts an apprenticeship Mela every year in collaboration with the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, and 421 students participate in a studentship drive. Graduates who have completed their graduation with meeting the eligibility requirements are eligible to get placement. 

Karnataka State Open University Scholarship

Karnataka State Open University provides scholarships to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, Backwards Class and Minority students under the scholarship unit. Eligible candidates can apply for the Post-Matric Scholarship through their portal (http://ssp.postmatric.karnataka.gov.in). Students have to create an account at the portal by selecting the caste category and provide all required details, and submitting the form. After submitting the form take a printout of the post-matric scholarship application for further processing.
