About Doon University
Doon University is a state government university that was established in the year 2005. It is among top educational institutions situated in Uttarakhand. It is recognized by the University Grant Commission and is accredited by NAAC with an A grade. Doon University has 9 schools on the campus offering 20 undergraduate programs, 26 postgraduate programs, 14 PhD courses and certificate courses in various fields.
Popular UG programs available are Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Technology and Bachelor of Business Administration, along with numerous specializations. Doon University Admission 2026-27: UG
Doon University admission will start soon for all UG programs for the academic year 2026. Students can register for any UG program and pay an application fee of INR 800(INR 400 for ST/SC). The duration of all UG programs is 4 years with 8 semesters. PG programs offered by the university include Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Science with 8 specializations, Bachelor of Design, B.COM, BBA and B.Tech. total intake is different of each program, around 30 to 60 seats.
Students need to score a minimum 50% mark (45% for reserved category) in relevant streams from any recognized board of secondary education to get admission to any UG program. It is mandatory for all applicants to appear for entrance tests conducted by the university for all the programs. Selection for B.Tech and B.SC honours will be through valid JEE MAIN scores.
Doon University Admission 2026-27: PG
Doon University admission registration process will start soon for the academic year 2026. Students can apply to postgraduate programs offered at Doon University. The university offers a master of Arts with 13 specializations, a master of Science with 10 specializations, an MBA, M.Tech in environmental technology and computer science & engineering. Postgraduate programmes are available for 2 years and 4 semesters, with total intake ranging between 20 to 40 seats. Admission will be based on entrance examination and for MBA, CAT/MAT/Group Discussion/Personal Interview is required.
To be eligible for PG courses, students need to have a bachelor’s degree from a UGC established/approved university. Applicants must have scored a minimum 50% mark and 45% for the reserved category of Uttarakhand. For M.Tech program students with valid GATE scores will be called for an interview.
Doon University Admission 2026: Certificate Courses
Doon University admission process will start soon for the certificate courses for the academic session 2026. Students who wish to apply to any certificate course can register online. Doon University is currently offering certificate courses for the duration of 1 year through evening classes. Total intake of each certificate course is 30 students.
Admission to certificate programs in language courses such as Spanish, German, Chinese, Japanese, Sanskrit and French will be through entrance tests. Students applying for certificate programs in Garhwali Language, Kumauni Language and Jaunsari Language will be admitted on merit basis. Students who have passed their 10+2 examination and other professionals serving in the private/government and corporate sector can apply for admission.
Doon University Fee Structure
Students can find the fee structure of Doon University on the university prospectus. Students need to pay a one-time non-refundable admission fee of INR 2000/- and a caution money of INR 5000/-. UG program tuition fees are between INR 10,000 to INR 40,000/-. PG program fee ranges from INR 10,000 to INR 25,000/-. Other fees are around INR 6000/- to INR 15,000/-.

Doon University Admission Application Process
Doon University admission process will start soon for the January 2026 academic session. All the details of the students in the application form must be aligned with the details of the 10th marksheet. Check out all program details and eligibility criteria. - Step 1: Visit Doon University’s official website and click on the admission link.
- Step 2: If you’re a new applicant then click on NEW RESTAURANT.
- Step 3: Now register yourselves by putting your active email address, phone number, password and username.
- Step 4: Enter captcha code and click on REGISTER.
- Step 5: Now login and fill up the application form correctly.
- Step 6: Enter your personal details , educational qualifications and select your desired program.
- Step 7: Pay application fee online only. This fee is non-refundable.
- Step 8: After submitting, keep a print out of the application form.
Note: students who wish not to apply online can visit the university campus. Take application form from administrative block, along with required documents and prescribed fee.

Doon University Fee Refund, Concession, And Scholarship
All the fees will be refunded as per UGC norms. However, the procession fee of INR 1000/-, prospectus, registration, and pHd fees will not be refunded. Students can avail scholarship such as “Pandit Mahanand Dangwal (Kirti Nagar, Tehri Garhwal) Scholarship, Professor Gajender Singh All-rounder Scholarship, Doon University Students Aid Fund (DUSAF), e Scholarship of Social Welfare Department and UGC Scholarships and Fellowships. ST/SC applicants of Uttarakhand shall pay 50% of tuition fee and other fees.
