Application fee of unreserved category is INR 3000/– and for reserved category it is INR 2500/-. An additional late fee of INR 1000/- is applicable for late submission of application form. About University
YSPU stands for Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar University of Horticulture and Forestry. It was established in 1985. This University is located at Nauni in Solan district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It has 4 constituent colleges: College of Horticulture, Nauni, Solan, College of Forestry, Nauni, Solan, College of Horticulture and Forestry, Neri, Hamirpur, and College of Horticulture and Forestry, Thunag, Mandi.
University offers 5 undergraduate programs, and 24 disciplines in master degree programs. It follows semester wise system as per ICAR course curriculum. University faculty comprises 237 teachers and scientists. Being a farm university, it is equipped with a mist chamber, sprinkler and drip irrigation system, poly house, glass house, and precise farming.

YSPU UG Program Admission 2026
YSPU admission for the undergraduate program will begin soon for the academic year 2026. Applicants can register for B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture, B. Sc. Ag. (Hons) Natural Farming, B.Sc. (Hons.) Forestry, B.Tech. (Food Technology) and B.Tech. (Biotechnology). All undergraduate programs are offered for the duration of 4 academic years with 8 semesters.
Applicants have to pass a 10+2 or equivalent examination with English, physics, chemistry, biology and mathematics as main subjects. Students have to score a minimum of 50% mark(45% for reserved category). Applicants have to qualify the UGET entrance examination. As for seat reservation, ICAR quota seats will be filled by ICAR and 50% normal seats will be reserved for applicants from rural areas and remaining 50% seats for bonafide Himachali applicants. YSPU undergraduate program fee ranges around INR 30,200/- to INR 82,200/-.
YSPU PG Admission 2026
YSPU admission window for all postgraduate programmes has not opened yet for the academic year 2026. Students are invited to apply for postgraduate programs such as master of science, M.Tech., and master of business administration. These programs are offered for 2 academic years divided into 4 semesters. Students have to score a minimum 60% mark in respective discipline from any recognized university. There will be 5% relaxation for reserved category.
Selection of the applicants will be done through marks obtained in Postgraduate Entrance Test-PGET 2026. students just score above the 45% mark to qualify for admission. YSPU postgraduate courses fee ranges between INR 26,250 to INR 82,750/-. As for seat reservation, 30% normal seat will be reserved for ICAR and remaining HP Quota will be reserved for domicile residents of Himachal Pradesh. Universities also have implemented a 40-point reservation roster for SC, ST, PwD, and EWS categories.
YSPU Diploma Course Admission 2026
YSPU admission registration for the Diploma Courses will start soon for the academic year 2026. Interested specialists can register for a Diploma in Fruits, Vegetable Processing & Bakery Products course. It is a 1 year course with 2 semesters. To be eligible for admission, students completed their 10+2 examination or equivalent from a recognized university or board with a minimum mark of 40% aggregate and 35% for reserved category. Admission will be merit basis, in case if 2 applicants secure the same mark, the elder one in age shall be given preference.
As per university seat reservation rule, out of 22.5% seats under HP quota, 15% will be reserved for SC and 7.5% will be reserved for ST. In addition 5 seats will be reserved for individuals selected by state government or industry.
YSPU Admission Fee Structure 2026
Students have to pay the required amount in the University Bank Account in online mode. Applicants belonging to orphan children/PwD category need not pay any fee. Students have to produce a hard copy of the fee receipt to the unievristya t the time of verification.
