VNSGU admission process will start soon for the academic year 2026. Students can register for any undergraduate, postgraduate, PG/diploma and certificate courses. Students will be granted admission purely on merit basis and for some courses written tests and interviews will be conducted by the university. University application fee is around INR 1000/-*. About University 

Veer Narmad South Gujarat University was established in 1965 by the Gujarat state legislative assembly. It is among the 11th public universities in Gujarat recognized by the University Grants Commission. The 210-acre campus is situated in Surat city, Gujarat, India. The university has 28 postgraduate programs departments with various specializations in arts, science, education, commerce, engineering & technology, management studies, law, medicine, computer science, architecture and homeopathic. VNSGU is re-accredited by NAAC with a B++ grade and is ISO certified. University has 11 faculty, 46 PG, 5 UG, 12 PG diploma, 48 diploma and certificate. Being an affiliated university, it has 40 government, 58 grant-in-aid, 157 self-financed, 56 teaching and 5 research centres.

VNSGU Admission 2026 For UG Program

VNSGU admission for all undergraduate programs will start soon for the academic year 2026. Students can register for UG programs such as BA, BSW, B.COM, B.SC, BBA, BCA, Bachelor of Library and Information Science, Bachelor of Rural Studies (BRS), B.VOC IT, BAJMC, MBBS, BFA, and Bachelor of Interior Design. The main medium of instruction is both English and Gujarati. Admission to VNSGU is strictly merit-based. Undergraduate courses are offered for the duration of 3 to 4 years and 6 to 8 semesters. 

To be eligible for the UG program at VNSGU, applicants must have passed higher secondary or equivalent examinations (Diploma or ITI (NCVT/GCVT Certificate) from a recognized board. B.arch is offered for 5 years and 10 sweaters. Selection for bachelor of interior design will be through Interior Design entrance test, and National Aptitude Test in Architecture for B.ARCH program. For MBBS program a valid score of UGNEET is required and GUJCET score for B. Sc. (Optometry). 

VNSGU Admission 2026 For PG Program

VNSGU admission registration will begin soon for the postgraduate degree program for the year 2026. Students can apply to any PG program available in the university and affiliated colleges. Which include MSC, MBA, MCA, master of Rural Studies, M.PHIL, M.ED, LLM, MA, master of Library and Information Science, Master of Labour Welfare, M.COM, Master of Optometry, and Master of Physiotherapy. Postgraduate programmes are available for the duration of 2 years and 4 semesters. 

To avail admission to the PG program at VNSGU, students need to have a bachelor’s degree in a related field from a recognized university. Selection of the students will be based on a written test, an interview and merit based on department requirements. The medium of instruction is English and Gujarati, except for language courses. 

VNSGU Admission 2026 For PG Diploma

VNSGU admission window has not opened yet for PG diploma courses for the session 2026. Students can apply for PG diploma courses offered for a duration of 1 year and 2 semesters. PG diploma programmes offered at VNSGU are P.G. Dip. (Journalism), P.G. Dip. (Research Methodology),P.G. Dip. (Human Resource Management), P.G. Dip. (Corporate Social Responsibility), P.G. Dip. in Dietetics. Including P.G. Dip. (Medical Laboratory Technology), P.G. Dip. (Toxicology), P.G. Dip. in Computer Application, P.G. Diploma in Instrumentation, and more. 

Students who have completed their higher secondary education examination or any equivalent in any stream are eligible for admission. The selection of the students will be a merit for all programs. PG diploma program fee may range between INR 16915/ – and INR 8430/-.

University program fee is based on self-financed, government, and grant-in-aid. 

VNSGU Admission Process 2026 

• Step 1: Go to the official website of the university www.vnsgu.ac.in/.
• Step 2: Registered with email ID and phone number.
• Step 3: After clicking on submit, the username and password will be sent to the registered email and phone number.
• Step 4: Applicants must log in with their created credentials. 
• Step 5: Now select the desired program and university/institution.
• Step 6: Fill up the application form with personal and educational details.
• Step 7: Upload necessary documents.
• Step 8: Preview and submit the form.
• Step 9: Pay the registration fee and print out the application fee. 
• Step 10: The Final application will be sent to the applied university or college.
• Step 11: The Merit list will be prepared by the university/colleges and will be mailed to the students. 
• Step 12: Selected students will visit university for document verification and payment of program fee.
• Step 13: The University will enroll the students after confirming after verifying. 

Veer Narmad South Gujarat University Seat Reservation 

University offers seat reservation to concerned categories as per university guidelines.  VNSGU has reserved 7% seats for SC category, 15% for ST, 27% for SEBC, and 10% for EWS. It also offers 5% to PH category where only disability above 40% is entitled. And 2 seta are provided to kashmiri migrants. 80% seta are allocated for applicants who passed form GSEB and 20% to applicants from other boards. University provides sport quota seats to applicants with National or State level sports/cultural events certificates. 

Veer Narmad South Gujarat University Placement Cell

VNSGU has its own training and placement cell. The main aim of the cell is to provide placement to students in their related field and industry. This placement cell conducted mock interviews, counselling, and other necessary resources to develop their skills and potentials. Some departments have their own placement cell, and some programs conduct papers on soft skill development and computer literacy. Various activities conducted by the placement cell include orientation session, study tour, industrial visit, career counseling, development of entrepreneurship skills, Group discussions, personal interview and CV preparation. Students are provided with off campus internships, in reputed firms and industrial companies. As per latest report, 278 students have been placed from various departments.
