Candidates who want to take admission at Saurashtra University can apply online through their official website by filling out the application form. It offers 426+ UG, PG Diploma, Certificate and Doctoral courses/ programmes across disciplines like science, commerce, management, law, education and many more. The admission process is done based on the merit score, while for many programmes, the university requires candidates to qualify for the national-level entrance test. Saurashtra University is a government university located in Rajkot, Gujarat. It was established on 23rd May, 1967, under the Legislative Assembly of Gujarat. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, certificate and doctoral degrees across diverse fields like science, commerce, pharmacy, law, education, etc. It has 29 postgraduate departments and 238 affiliated colleges. The university is recognized by the UGC and has an accreditation of NAAC with “A” grade. It provides career guidance, placement support and opportunities for skill development. 

Saurashtra University UG Admission 2026-27 

Saurashtra University admission process will start soon for the 2026 academic year. The university offers UG courses like B.A in Hindi, Gujrati, Political Science, English, Sanskrit, BBA, B.Com, B.Tech, B.Sc and many more. For pursuing UG courses students need to pass the higher secondary education (10+2) form a certified board. Along with obtaining a minimum aggregate of 45% to 50% at 12th grade in a relevant stream. University will take admission on the basis of merit score, but for some programmes it is also required to clear an entrance examination. 

Saurashtra University PG Admission 2026-27 

Saurashtra University admission window has not opened yet for its postgraduate (PG) courses. It offers M.A. in Hindi, Gujarati, Sanskrit, History, M.Com, M.Sc. in Chemistry, Physics, Botany, Zoology, LLM, and  M.Ed at the PG level. The selection process of PG programmes is based on merit score, while for selective courses, the university is also required to appear in entrance tests. To be eligible for these 2-year PG courses, applicants must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from a recognized university. Candidates also need to secure at least 50% to 55% aggregate marks at the graduate level. 

Saurashtra University Admission Fee Structure 2026

The fee structure of Saurashtra University varies depending on the level of programme, duration of programme or the specialisation. The UG courses generally have lower fees compared to the postgraduate and professional courses. An Undergraduate course fee starts between INR 12,000 to INR 13,000* per semester, while the PG courses range between INR 15,300 to INR 18,400.
