PMCH admission will start soon for the academic session 2026. Registration will be conducted in both online and offline modes. Students can apply to various courses offered at undergraduate, postgraduate, super speciality, and paramedical categories. Students have to pay a PMCH admission fee of INR 1000/-. About PMCH

PMCH, full form is Patna Medical College and Hospital. It is a reputed medical college and hospital in Bihar, established in 1925. It is the sixth-oldest medical college of British India, which was started as a temple medical college in 1874. Currently, it is called Prince of Wales Medical College and was formerly affiliated with Aryabhatta Knowledge University. The university offers undergraduate, postgraduate, super speciality, and postgraduate paramedical courses with various specializations. Patna Medical College is approved by the National Medical Commission (NMC) and is presently affiliated with the Bihar University of Health Sciences.

PMCH MBBS Program Admission 2026

PMCH admission to the MBBS program has not started yet for the session 2026. The university offers only MBBS- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery at the undergraduate level. The total seat intake of the MBBS program is 200 students. Students who wish to apply for MBBS admission must have completed their 10+2 examination from a recognized board and clear the NEET UG entrance examination. Selected Students will be required for the counseling round, and final selection will be based on document verification. Students have to pay a total MBBS course fee of INR 10,000/ annually. The MBBS program is offered for a duration of 5.5 years, including a one-year compulsory internship.

PMCH MD/MS Program Admission 2026

PMCH admission process will begin soon for the MD/MS program for the academic session 2026. Registration is open for MS courses in Anatomy, General Surgery, ENT, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Ophthalmology, and Orthopaedics. Including MD program with specializations such as Anaesthesiology, Biochemistry, Community Medicine, General Medicine, FMT, Microbiology, Paediatrics, Pathology, Pharmacology, Physiology, Psychiatry, Radio-Diagnosis, Skin V.D., and Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

To be admitted to the MD/MS program, students must have completed their MBBS program from a reputed university. Also, students are required to appear and clear the NEET PG examination with qualifying scores. This program typically lasts for 3 years and 6 semesters. Students have to pay an annual MD/MS course fee of INR 11,000/-. 

PMCH M.Ch. (Plastic Surgery) Program Admission 2026 

PMCH admission for the Master of Chirurgiae in Plastic Surgery program will start soon for the academic session 2026. It is a three-year master’s degree program, which is divided into six semesters. Total intake for the MCH (PL.surgery) program is 8 students. This program is offered under the super specialty category in Patna Medical College. To be eligible for admission, students must have an MBBS degree oran  MD degree from a recognized university. This will also include a one-year compulsory internship. In order to get selected for the program, a valid qualifying score of NEET SS  is required. Students have to pay M.SCH in plastic surgery yearly fees of INR 14,000/-.
