Maharshi Dayanand University admission process will start soon for the undergraduate or postgraduate program for the academic session 2026-27. All the courses offered by MDU University is approved and recognised by UGC. Students can apply only if they are fulfilling eligibility requirements as mentioned in University guidelines which vary depending on course and its level. For admission in some courses, MDU conducts entrance test, though it also accepts scores of National level entrance test. Fees of every programme may differs and ranges between INR 8,000 to INR 46,000 approximately.

MDU offers admission in both Regular mode and Open & Distance mode. Eligible Students can apply by visiting official website only. The admission process is completely online and there is also an application processing fee necessary to pay.

About Maharshi Dayanand University

Maharshi Dayanand University, located in Rohtak, was established in 1975 under Haryana Act No. 25. It has the objective to promote interdisciplinary higher education and research with special emphasis on ecology, environmental and life sciences. MDU offers 196 programmes through 10 faculties. The university is approved by UGC. Some specific programmes are approved from AICTE. NAAC has also accredited it with an A+ grade. NIRF has ranked it 35th among top State Public Universities of India.

Maharshi Dayanand University UG Admission 2026-27

Maharshi Dayanand University admission will begin soon for the undergraduate program. UG programme will be offered as per National Education Policy (NEP 2020). It is 4 year programme (students can exit after 3 years with Bachelor’s degree) that can be pursued once candidate passes their 12th standard. Admission is done in both online and offline mode as per student’s convenience. Students also have to pay application fee as decided by University.

MDU offers UG programme in various courses like B.A, BBA, B.com, B.Tech, B.Sc. All admission in UG programme are made strictly on merit basis of the last qualifying exam in accordance with University norms and guidelines. It must be noted, students can only apply for admissions if they are fulfilling eligibility criteria which differs depending on the course. 

Eligibility Criteria:

• Students must have Senior Secondary Certificate (10+2) and Marksheet with at least 45% marks in aggregate from recognised board of School Education.
• Students from the reserved category, blind students, physically challenged students get relaxations and need 42.7% aggregate marks in their SSC examination.
• A score on the entrance exam is required if applying for B.Tech or B.Pharma programme.

Maharshi Dayanand University PG Admission 2026-27

Maharshi Dayanand University admission process will start soon for the postgraduate program. PG Programmes has course duration of 2 years and consist total of 4 semesters. Students can pursue PG/Masters only after their graduation and it is delivered as per NEP 2020 policy. MDU offers admission through both online and offline procedures. Interested students can apply through official website or at University only if they are fulfilling eligibility criteria. They also have to pay applicable application fees as decided by the University.

MDU offers PG Programme in various courses like Master of Arts (MA), Master of Science (MSc), M.Com, MBA, Master of Library and Information Science, and many more with multiple specializations. Admissions in PG Programme are done completely on Merit basis. Eligibility Criteria must be fulfilled by each and every students if they are interested to apply for admissions at MDU. 

Eligibility Criteria:

• All the students must have bachelor’s degree in related discipline from a recognized University board.
• General category student needs 45% marks in aggregate and SC/ST/Blind/Visually and Physically Challenged students need 42.75% marks in their bachelor’s as they are provided relaxation.
• Most of the PG Programme has entrance test for admission, as conducted by University or it accepts national-level test score as well.

• Step 1:  Go to official website of MDU and apply from there only, www.mdu.ac.in/default.aspx. 
• Step 2: First, sign in as a New User by filling in personal details like Name, email Id, Date of Birth, Contact number etc and create your ID.
• Step 3: Now login with ID you created and select preferred course in which you want to apply.
• Step 4: Start filling application form with all necessary personal and academic details. FAll the details filled must be correct and should match with your 10th class documents.
• Step 5: Now upload relevant documents that should be scanned and self attested.

Maharshi Dayanand University Admission Selection Procedure

Once application form and entrance exam result is received by University, then it proceed further with admission process. MDU releases merit lists in different phases to announce the names of shortlisted candidates.These candidates then called for further counselling and document verification. Candidates are required to show original documents only. If they get selected, they need to pay their programme fee or some amount of fee to reserve their seats in the University.
