Kuvempu University Admission 2026: Kuvempu university admission process for the academic year 2026 will start soon. Students are invited to apply for PG diploma and postgraduate degree programs. Admission will be done through the UUCMS Portal only. Students have to pay an Application fee of INR 400 for the general category and INR 200 for SC/STCAT-1). Admission will be based on merit in qualifying examinations to various programs. Students are advised to carefully complete their application form before the deadline. Kuvempu University is a state university established in the year 1987. It is an affiliated university recognized by the University Grant Commission (UGC). Currently, it is affiliated with 89 universities, 3 constituent colleges, which include 31 government colleges and 35 private colleges. Kuvempu University is accredited by NAAC in its 4th cycle with A grade. This university sprawls over 230 acres of land and is situated in Karnataka, India. It offers many disciplines under the postgraduate, undergraduate, and PhD level. Kuvempu University PG Admission 2026

Kuvempu University admission registration process will start soon for the academic session 2026. Program offers are master of arts, M.COM, MSW, MBA, M.ED, M.P.Ed, M.SC, M.L.I.Sc (Library and Information Science), MCA. all postgraduate programs are available for a duration of 2 years and 4 semesters. 

Students who have completed their 3-year bachelor’s degree program from Kuvempu University and other equivalent universities are eligible for admission. Students from general category have to obtain 45% marks and 35% -40% for those belonging to reserved category. The university reserves 10% general merit seats for the EWS category. Admission will be through PGCET, an entrance examination conducted by the university. University conducts separate entrance tests for the M.PED program and selection for MCA/MBA will be through scores obtained in common entrance tests conducted by KEA. 

Kuvempu University Admission Fee Structure 2026 

Students belonging to the SC/ST category and whose parents’ income is less than INR 2,50,000 per annum are exempted from paying tuition fee, laboratory fee, and other administrative fee. 

Kuvempu University Admission Application Process 2026

Students must be informed that registration will be held through the UUCMS Portal only.

• Step 1: Go to the university website and click on https://uucms.karnataka.gov.in/. 
• Step 2: Click on NEW REGISTRATION.
• Step 3: Choose program level, enter adhaar details and phone number, karnataka PU boards details, personal details, address, create password and enter OTP.
• Step 4: Students have to choose the main campus or desired PG centers.
• Step 5: Select the desired program. 
• Step 6: Enter any category/special; category/ or quota details with proof and payment. 
• Step 7: Upload signature, photograph and scan copies of original certificate. 
• Step 8: Pay the application fee prescribed by the university via Challan at SBI Jnanasahyadri. 
• Step 9: Submit the application form before given time.
• Step 10: Appear for entrance examinations conducted by the university for respective programs.

Seat Reservation At Kuvempu University 

University has reserved 15% seats for foreign students. 1 seat in each department is for Children/Dependents of Defence Personnel (CDP)/Children of Freedom Fighters (CFF)/sports/ Persons with Disability (PwD)/ Children of Farmers. Also, 17% for SC, 7% for ST, 27% for OBC applicants. 5% seats are reserved for Kannada Medium Students, 1% for Gender Minority (GdM), 8% for Hyderabad-Karnataka Reservation (HyK). As per the government of Karnataka, 15% seats are reserved for Other University Students (OU). Other reservations include Merit-cum-Payment Seats and NSS/NCC Quota.
