Kumaun University was established in 1973. It is a state university of 160 acres of land located in Nainital, Uttar Pradesh. Kumaun University UG Admission 2026
Kumaun University admission for the undergraduate program will start soon for the academic session 2026. Students can register for courses such as BA in 13 disciplines, B.SC in 16 specializations, BPES, B.Ed, B.Pharm, B.Com, BHM, BBA, BCA, B.Lib.I.Sc, and BFA. all the programs are run for a minimum duration of 3 years and 6 semesters. Students have to pass their 10+2 examination in any discipline with a minimum 50% mark to be eligible for admission. Admission to the UG program will be on a merit basis except for B.Ed and LLB, which will be based on Kumaun University Entrance Examination.
Kumaun University PG Admission 2026
Kumaun University admission will begin soon for the academic session 2026. The university offers various programs such as MFA, MAJMC, master of Arts in 14 specializations, and LLM. M.ED, M.PHARM, M.SC in 20 disciplines, Master’s In Social Welfare (MSW), M.Lib.I.Sc, MBA, M.Com. The postgraduate program course length is of 2 years and 4 semesters. Students will need a bachelor’s degree with a minimum 45% mark in relevant discipline to be eligible for admission. A bachelor’s degree should be from a recognized university. Admission will be based on merit except M.Ed and MBA, which will require students to qualify Kumaun University Entrance Examination.
Kumaun University Phd Admission 2026
Kumaun University admission process for the PhD program will start soon for the academic session 2026. Admission to the PhD program will be in the following disciplines: Biotechnology, Chemistry, Botany, Commerce, Computer Science, Economics, Drawing and Painting, English, Education, Geography, Geology, Hindi, Forestry and Environmental Science, history, and many more. University is accepting only those candidates who have a master degree with a minimum 55% mark or equivalent.
There is a 5% relaxation for SC/ST/EWS, differently abled and other categories. Selection will be based on the Research Degree Entrance Test (RDET) conducted by the University. Universities also accept direct admission based on an interview to those who have qualified for a fellowship/scholarship in UGC-NET/UGC- CSIR-NET or NFSC/ NFOBC/ NFST. including those who have qualified for the INSPIRE Fellowship (GPAT) or GATE. PhD course duration will be a minimum of 3 years, inclusive of coursework and a maximum duration of 6 years.

- Register with your email ID and mobile number.
- Create a username and a password.
- Click on register and an OTP will be sent in your registered number and mail.

- After filling all details, pay the application fee.
