The EFLU admission process will start soon for the academic session 2026-27. Registration fee of the course is INR 226 for the PG courses and INR 205 for the UG students. Students can apply for the UG and PG courses offered by the university. Course duration will depend upon the courses, but it usually ranges from 3 to 4 years for undergraduate courses and 2-3 years for the PG courses. The tuition fee is different depending on the course. Eligibility for admission in the UG course is 10+2 with a percentage in selective courses.

The English and Foreign Language University is a central university for the study of English and other foreign languages. It is situated in Hyderabad. It was founded in 1958. EFLU Admission Eligibility Criteria For UG Courses
Candidates passed in intermediate or 10+2 or equivalent from a recognised board with 50% marks for the unreserved categories whereas 45 % for the reserved category are eligible to apply for the course. Students must have studied English as one of the subjects. Candidate pursuing qualifying examination must have declared undertaking that they will provide marksheet with certificate once passed the examination.
Students must be Indian citizens and must not be barred from any university or board. Students are required to have a valid category certificate, whoever is applying for admission under the category. Some specific courses have specific requirements for the subject must be studied in the qualifying examination.
EFLU Admission Eligibility Criteria For PG Courses
Candidate with a bachelor’s degree or equivalent from any recognised university by the University Grant Commission( UGC) with minimum 55% marks obtained for the unreserved category and 50 % for those belonging to the reserved category. Students who are appearing in the final semester of the qualifying examination are required to produce the documents in support of their claim. Students with a (hons) degree are required to have particular subject if applying for the hons program if any particular program, for example, if a student chooses to pursue degree in language, literature then they must have to study english or english literature degree is necessary with prescribed number of marks.
Students are required to opt for the online entrance test which will be later.
EFLU Admission Fee Structure 2026-27
Registration fee for the UG and PG courses are different. For the UG admission, students are required to pay INR 205 during the application process, whereas for the PG courses registration fee is INR 226. Tuition fee depends upon the courses and specialization a students chooses. Total fee required to be paid during admission will be INR 3815 for the general and OBC students whereas INR 2900 is for the SC and ST students. This fee is only for the 1st semester.

This fee includes tuition fee, university development fee, library fee, student welfare fund, examination fee, grade card fee, identity card fee, medical fee and library deposit. Students need not to pay any other fee than semester fees everything is included.
EFLU Admission Process 2026-27
All programs provided by the university are full-time
- It is the responsibility of the students to ensure that they are eligible for admission. Students appearing in the final semester of the qualifying examination are eligible to apply but the university will not be responsible to check the eligibility of every student before the entrance test.
- After the entrance test, in case the student awaiting result is shortlisted for admission, he/she will be provisionally given admission in condition of providing documents within the given time period prescribed by the university.
- Issuance of the hall ticket or appearing in the examination does not qualify any student for admission. The university reserves right to cancel the admission of any student at any given point of time whether during admission process or after that.
- The cut off marks for the entrance examination for admission to all.
- Undergraduate program for candidates belonging to the general and OBC students are 45%, for the SC/ST students it is 35% and OBC(non creamy layer) is 30% and till the last score for the physically disabled candidates

English And Foreign Language University Reservation
15 % of the total seats will be reserved for the sc students and 7.5 % of the seats to state students whereas OBC non creamy layer students will be given 27% reservation in total intake from the society. SC and ST students will be given a relaxation of 5% in the qualifying examination for EFLU admission. Eligible students are required to submit their category certificate during the counseling.
English And Foreign Language University Refund Of Fee
In the case of cancellation of the admission, fee will be refunded to the student with norms prescribed by the University Grants Commission (UGC). NON REFUNDABLE alumni fee of INR 100 will be collected at the time of admission. A miscellaneous fee will be collected if the student wishes to withdraw the admission after the first semester.

English And Foreign Language University Scholarship
All Indian students who are admitted in any full-time course except for the PhD courses and whose parental income is less than INR 150000 are eligible to apply for the EFLU merit-cum-means scholarship and exemption from the tuition fee. Students who receive a fellowship shall receive an amount of INR 1000 per annum as a book grant .students from reserved category who are exempted from paying the tuition fee are only eligible for the INR 1000 book grant each year.
Students who are already receiving any grant/fellowship from any institution are not allowed to apply for this grant. Students are advised to apply for the fellowship in the prescribed format available in the official website of the university.all relevant documents such as caste and income certificate, must be attached along with this application.
