Central University of Kashmir admission process will start soon for the academic session 2025. The university offers various undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG), PhD and Certificate courses. It is advisable to fill out the application form by paying a registration fee before the final date of admission. CU Kashmir offers courses across several fields, including management, engineering, commerce, science and humanities. The university does not have a direct admission process; applicants have to go through the entrance test.

It accepts CUET for UG & PG courses, JEE for Engineering programmes, CMAT (Common Management Admission Test) for MBA and NCET (National Common Entrance Test) for Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP). The registration fee charged by Central University of Kashmir is INR 200 (INR 100 for SC/ST candidates) at the time of registration.

Central University of Kashmir was established in 2009 by an act of Parliament for teaching, research and extension activities. The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission and accredited by the NAAC with an “A” grade. Central University of Kashmir admission procedure will start soon for the 2026- 27 academic session, where students can apply through the university’s official website. It offers courses like BBA, B.Com, B.Tech, B.A in English, B.Sc in Mathematics, Physics and many more. The selection process of CU Kashmir university is based on their secured marks in entrance examination (CUET- Common University Entrance Test). To be eligible for UG programmes candidates need to have passed their 10+2 in a relevant stream with 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST candidates) from a certified board. 

B.Sc. Biotechnology Admission 2026-27 

Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology is offered by CU Kashmir in regular mode. Students need to clear higher secondary education (10+2) in Biotechnology/ Biology/ Biochemistry, Botany/ Zoology/ as one of the subjects. It is also mandatory for candidates to secure at least 50% aggregate marks in the 10+2 level. Students get selected on the basis of secured marks in CUET. 

Central University of Kashmir PG Admission 2026

Central University of Kashmir admission for postgraduate (PG) courses will start soon for the academic session 2026. PG programmes offered by CU Kashmir include M.A. in English, Urdu, M.Sc in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, M.Com, MBA, M.Tech and many more. The basic eligibility requirements for PG courses is to have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a certified university. Obtaining an aggregate score of 50% and 45% for SC/ST candidates is also mandatory. If you want admission at CU Kashmir’s MBA programme, you must appear for the CMAT and secure well enough marks. For the engineering programmes, the university also accepts JEE scores.

Central University of Kashmir Admission Fee Structure

CU Kashmir has a very affordable fee structure, offering UG, PG, PhD and Certificate programmes. Undergraduate programmes ranging between INR 10,000 to INR 14,000* per semester and the postgraduate courses range between INR 12,000 to INR 29,000 per semester*. Candidates also have to pay some additional fees, including a registration fee of INR 200 I-Card fee of INR 170.
