Central University of Kashmir was established in 2009 by an act of Parliament for teaching, research and extension activities. The university is recognized by the University Grants Commission and accredited by the NAAC with an “A” grade. Bachelor of Science in Biotechnology is offered by CU Kashmir in regular mode. Students need to clear higher secondary education (10+2) in Biotechnology/ Biology/ Biochemistry, Botany/ Zoology/ as one of the subjects. It is also mandatory for candidates to secure at least 50% aggregate marks in the 10+2 level. Students get selected on the basis of secured marks in CUET.
Central University of Kashmir PG Admission 2026
Central University of Kashmir admission for postgraduate (PG) courses will start soon for the academic session 2026. PG programmes offered by CU Kashmir include M.A. in English, Urdu, M.Sc in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, M.Com, MBA, M.Tech and many more. The basic eligibility requirements for PG courses is to have a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a certified university. Obtaining an aggregate score of 50% and 45% for SC/ST candidates is also mandatory. If you want admission at CU Kashmir’s MBA programme, you must appear for the CMAT and secure well enough marks. For the engineering programmes, the university also accepts JEE scores.
Central University of Kashmir Admission Fee Structure
CU Kashmir has a very affordable fee structure, offering UG, PG, PhD and Certificate programmes. Undergraduate programmes ranging between INR 10,000 to INR 14,000* per semester and the postgraduate courses range between INR 12,000 to INR 29,000 per semester*. Candidates also have to pay some additional fees, including a registration fee of INR 200 I-Card fee of INR 170.
